Public Health is the combination of humanities and science that provides the knowledge, skills and practices to protect, promote and restore population health.  A postgraduate degree in public health is highly relevant to the professional development and continuing education of a broad range of health professions. 

The Master of Public Health course provides graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct public health research; develop, analyse and implement policy; and to plan and evaluate health services and programs.

Study full-time or part-time.

The University of Melbourne’s Parkville campus.
Starting in Lecture Theatre 1, Basement, 207 Bouverie Street, Parkville an expo by the Universities will follow on the 4th floor.

For part of the Master of Public Health, students from the four universities in the Consortium attend lectures and tutorials together at a shared central location (University of Melbourne, Carlton Campus). Students’ then progress to study a specialised stream through their university of enrolment including:

Monash - Clinical Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Services Management, International Health, Occupational Health, Research Stream and General Stream

Deakin  - Health Promotion , Public Health Nutrition, Environments for Health, Equity & Social Determinants of Health, Public Health Research and General Stream

La Trobe - Health Policy, Health Services Management, Health Promotion and Social Sciences, Workplace Health & Rehabilitation, International Health Policy, Healthy Ageing and General Stream

Melbourne - Economic Evaluation, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Economics, Health Program Evaluation, International Health / Harm Reduction, Primary Health Care, Sexual Health, Social Health and Women’s Health.
